The can't-miss picks for the week of September 28
Updated Tuesday, Sep 29: fall festival season is at its peak. Conner Prairie opens the Headless Horseman Festival on Thursday (Oct 1), and Friday (Oct 2) stacks three ways to kick off October: Bryson Tiller closes the Ruoff Music Center season, Carmel City Center hosts a free Oktoberfest with Der Polkatz, and Westfield's Factory Arts District holds its First Friday. Saturday (Oct 3) may be Hamilton County's busiest day of the year: Heritage Fall Festival and Main Street Fall Fest in Noblesville, Sheridan's Harvest Moon Festival, the Fishers AgriPark Fall Festival, Potter's Bridge Fall Festival, Corks in Carmel, Barktoberfest in Westfield, and the free Miracle movie night at the Fishers Event Center. Sunday (Oct 4) adds the Indiana Wind Symphony at the Palladium, and Jagged Little Pill opens a two-week run at The Tarkington. Headless Horseman Festival
Conner Prairie's beloved Halloween tradition opens its 2026 run on Oct 1 with a haunted cornfield, a frightful hayride, a pumpkin patch, live entertainment, and family-friendly autumn adventures on Thursday-Sunday evenings through Oct 25. Tickets are required and nights sell out, so book early.
Bryson Tiller: The Neo Trapsoul Tour

Fall festival weekend is here, and Hamilton County is going big. Friday (Oct 2) opens with Bryson Tiller closing the Ruoff Music Center season, a free Oktoberfest at Carmel City Center, Westfield's First Friday in the Factory Arts District, a free Top Gun movie at Federal Hill Commons in Noblesville, and the two-night Noblesville Heritage Fall Festival. Saturday (Oct 3) is the can't-miss day: Sheridan's Harvest Moon Festival, the Fishers AgriPark Fall Festival, Noblesville's Main Street Fall Fest and Potter's Bridge Fall Festival, Corks in Carmel, Barktoberfest in Westfield, and the free Miracle screening at the Fishers Event Center. The Headless Horseman Festival opens at Conner Prairie on Thursday (Oct 1), and Friday (Oct 2) kicks off a marathon festival weekend: Bryson Tiller closes the Ruoff Music Center season, Carmel City Center hosts a free Oktoberfest, Westfield's First Friday lights up the Factory Arts District, and Noblesville's Heritage Fall Festival takes over the courthouse square. Saturday (Oct 3) brings Sheridan's Harvest Moon Festival, the Fishers AgriPark Fall Festival, Potter's Bridge Fall Festival, Corks in Carmel, Barktoberfest, and so much more.
